* this is by no means a complete listing of the fields of human endeavor.  It is the opinion of the Hypatia Society that all human endeaver requires a certain amount of inteligence (of some type), and extraordinary accomplishment, in any area, be it commonly held areas of genius, like physics or philosophy, or lesser acknowledged feilds such as fashion design or carpentry is of great importance to the progress of progress.

2. How do we judge a person to be a UG?
     The tentative plan for certification (within Hypatia Society) of individuals as Universal Geniuses is, in the case of live applicants, to first have the person's credentals and evidentiary support evaluated by a committee on UG, then to present applicants who pass preliminary assessments to a vote by the members of Hypatia society.  51% affirmative vote will be required to recieve UG status.  For deceased applicants evidence of genius will be evaluated according to above standards by UG committe.

3. How many fields of human endeavor must UG applicant show extraordinary mastery and/or accomplishment?
     Minimum of three (or five) distinct areas of accomplishment.

High Potentials (HP) --  Persons with IQs in the top 5% of the population*, 126>, who demonstrate exceptional aptitude/talent in several areas of human endeavor.

*must be documented through IQ testing, or comparable evaluations.

Muliti-Talented (MT) --  Persons who demonstrate exceptional aptitude/talent in several areas of human endeavor.

* Why differentiate between HP and MTs?
     Having a higher IQ sets the individual apart from the norm in many positive and negative ways.  As a primarily high IQ group much of our focus is on HPs because of particular needs, overexcitabilities and potentials.  See articles on giftedness for more information about the experience of being gifted.

* Can a MT become a UG?
     Any person meeting the criteria for Universal Genius may qualify as  UG regardless of IQ.

To see things in the seed, that is genius.
